Release note: 15 June 2026
This release makes agreements smarter and admin easier: you are now guided automatically when updating an employee's agreement to give a plain language summary of changes, folders on the documents page can be renamed and searched, and employees can upload their own profile picture.
🤖 Smart update agreements with AI-generated cover letter summary
Requesting an updated employment agreement is now smarter. MyHR now recommends the right initial period, restricts options that would be invalid for the employee's situation, and warns if a new agreement would clash with an active trial or probation period. Complex cases are automatically routed to the HR team for review.
When you're updating an employee's agreement, your cover letter will include a summary of the changes in the cover letter using MyHR's automation, describing what has changed so employees immediately understand what they're being asked to sign.
What this means for you
- Fewer errors when updating agreements
- Less back-and-forth with the MyHR team on straightforward update requests
- Employees receive a plain-language explanation of what's changed
What you need to do
No action needed, the improvements are live for all update agreement requests. The AI-generated cover letter summary is included automatically.
📁 Rename and search folders on the documents page
Owner and manager users can now rename folders and subfolders directly on the documents page. Everyone can also search for folders by name and sort by alphabetical order or last updated.
What this means for you
- Easier to keep document folders organised as your team grows
- Faster to find the folder you're looking for
What you need to do
No action needed. Use the options menu next to any folder to rename it, or use the search bar to find folders by name.
🖼️ Employees can now upload their own profile picture
Employees can upload and manage their own profile picture from the self-service portal.
What this means for you
- Employees can personalise their MyHR profile when they join MyHR, making themselves known to you and your organisation as they join the crew
What you need to do
Employees will see the option in their self-service portal under their profile - you can let any existing employees know that this feature is available for them to use.
