Overview
The Ask Us icon appears in the bottom-right corner of every page in MyHR and is the easiest way to contact the MyHR team for HR or platform support.
Using Ask Us, you can:

Ask a new question

Request updates on existing work requests

Continue discussions on previous requests
When you submit a question, it is directed to the appropriate MyHR team member. You will receive an email notification whenever there is a response or update.
A light blue circle and corresponding number represent the number of open work requests or questions you currently have with the MyHR team.

Step-by-step instructions
How to ask a new question

Select the blue Ask Us icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Select + Ask new question.

Type your question in the message field.

Click Submit.
Your question will be sent to the MyHR team and you can expect a response within four working hours.
How to send a message about an existing request

Select the Ask Us icon.
-
Select the request or question you want to check.

Type a message in the chat field to message the team at MyHR or provide further information.
- Select the blue arrow button to submit.
The MyHR team member assigned to the request will respond through the same chat thread.
How do I close a question?
A chat thread relating to a HR Services request will automatically time out, so you do not need to manually close it.
You can close a question that is not linked to a request by opening the chat thread and selecting Close request in the top right hand corner.
How to ask a question on a closed request

Select the Ask Us icon.

Select Closed Requests.

Choose the request you want to discuss.

Select + Ask new question.

A new chat thread will appear with an autogenerated subject line linking to the original request.

Enter your message in the text box.

Select Submit.

Can other managers see a chat thread?
Visibility depends on the type of request:

Chat threads linked to HR Services related requests (for example agreements, contracts, disciplinary matters, restructures, etc) are visible to managers who have access to that employee’s department, with the Add and Manage people and Ask Us permissions.

A chat thread attached to a Recruit request is visible to any manager with the Ask Us chat permission.

Questions that are not linked to a request are only visible to the manager who asked the question and the MyHR team.
How will I know when there is a reply?
MyHR sends an email notification whenever there is a response or update to a question or request submitted through Ask Us. This is sent to the 'requesting user' (typically who submitted the request).
Where can I find my previous/closed questions?
Select the Ask Us icon to view a list of your open requests and previous conversations. You can select any item to see the conversation and current status.
Why don't I have an Ask Us chat icon?
The Ask Us chat icon is only visible if a manager has been granted the Ask Us permission by their account owner.
If you believe you should have access to the Ask Us chat icon, contact your account owner to check your permissions.
