How to use the leave module

A guide on how to use MyHR's leave module

Employee leave application

  1. Employee logs into MyHR and selects “Leave”
  2. Here, they can see the history of approved and declined leave requests.
  3. The employee will click “Apply for Leave” to apply for a holiday.
  4. The employee chooses the type of leave and dates to apply for. 
  5. Employee checks the hours are correct - they are automatically added to the leave request by MyHR so employees need to ensure they are accurate. 
  6. The employee leaves a note for their manager. 
  7. The employee clicks 'save' and gets redirected to their leave overview screen, where the new request is waiting for approval. 

Manager review & actions

  1. The employee's manager will get an email that the employee has requested time off. 
  2. The Manager logs into MyHR to review the leave request, the manager can use the calendar to see who else is on leave over that time. 
  3. The Manager then approves, declines, or asks a question on the leave. 
  4. If declining, we recommend discussing with the employee first rather than just through the system. 
  5. The employee will get an email outlining the action on the leave. 

Integrations with payroll

If you integrate your payroll with MyHR, the leave dates will flow through to payroll & the leave balance will flow back through to MyHR.
