How to deactivate and reactivate employees, e.g. if a person resigns or returns


How to make an employee inactive

  1. Log in to MyHR - you will land at the Launchpad.

  2. Click on the 'My People' tab and select the desired employee.

  3. Click on the 'Manage' tab.

  4. Click 'Remove Person' on the bottom left of the screen.

  5. Confirm the employee's removal by clicking the 'Click here...' link.

    The employee will now be removed from the active employee count and their files and records will be stored in the inactive department. This change will also flow through to iPayroll.


    How to reactivate an employee

    1. Click on the 'My People' tab of your Launchpad, then select the 'Inactive' department.
    2. Select the desired employee to open their file.

    3. Click on the 'Manage' tab.

    4. Click 'Activate Person'.

    5. Confirm the employee's reactivation by clicking the 'Click here...' link.

    Resubmitting an Employment Agreement

    1. When a employee is reactivated, you will be automatically redirected to update their employment agreement.

    2. All the employee's information will still be available, with the option to change and update it as needed. 
    3. When you are happy with the employment agreement's contents, click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.

      MyHR will create a new employment agreement for the returning employee.
