Overview

This guide explains how to reset and change your password for accessing MyHR. The process requires completing three steps: resetting your password, choosing a new password, and signing in again with your updated credentials.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Resetting the password

  1. Go to the MyHR log-in page.
  2. Select the Forgot your password link (below the blue Login button).
  3. Enter your log-in email address and select Reset your password.
  4. You will receive an email from MyHR with instructions for resetting your password.

Step 2: Changing the password

  1. In the email you have just received from MyHR, select the first link (or copy and paste the URL into your web browser).
  2. You will be redirected to a page where you will be asked to enter and confirm your new password.
  3. Choose a new password that is at least 12 characters long and not too easy to guess. We'll show how strong your new password is as you go and give you tips on how to improve it.
  4. Once your new password is strong enough, select Submit.

Note: The reset password link will expire in 1 day. If you have not reset your password within this timeframe, you will have to resubmit the Forgot password request.

Step 3: Signing back in with your new password

  1. Go to the MyHR log-in page.
  2. Enter your email address and new password.
  3. Select Login
  4. If you use a password manager, ensure you update your password in the password manager app.

FAQs and troubleshooting

What if my reset link has expired?

Go back to the login page and resubmit a Forgot your password request.

Why haven't I received an email with a link to reset my password?

  1. Check your spam/junk folder. If it’s not there, ensure you entered the correct login email and try again.
  2. If the email address you have entered does not match an email address that we have on logged against a profile, the system is not able to provide a reset link. Consider whether you may have entered a different email when logging in, or check with your manager what email is associated with your profile.

Why isn’t my new password being accepted?

Make sure it meets the minimum requirements and is rated as strong enough by the password strength checker.
